My name is Lynne
and I live with my husband Tony, together we are embarking on a new
adventure into the wonderful world of owning, showing and breeding Pugs. I have actively been showing for over 30 years,
starting in the 70’s with German Shepherds, and only due to illness did I
decide to move into a smaller more manageable breed. Fortunately, my
daughter Karen carried on showing and breeding Shepherds and today with
her partner Ryan are very successful in breeding excellent German
Shepherds (Tramella).
Over the years I tried a few breeds, until finally settling on showing
Bulldogs. I instantly fell in love with the breed and enjoyed numerous
successes at both Championship and Open Shows. Yet again due to my
illness I found it more and more difficult to show my dogs, and made the
sad decision to yet again seek a breed that I could show, and now find
it much easier showing Pugs as I can do most of the showing on a
table.
I miss my friends in the Bulldogs, but in the short time I have been
showing my Pugs I have made numerous friends and enjoy each show both
inside and out of the ring, and long may it last.
We bought our first
show dog in 1978, a beautiful German Shepherd called Temba, who was the
first of many wonderful Shepherds that were bred and shown by us.
It was our first venture into the showing world and we enjoyed many
successes winning at numerous Open Shows.
In 1998 we bought our first Bulldog, Belushi Soul Sister (Ruby) who in her
one and only litter produced Goojerat Chancer who has won numerous first
places at Open and
Championship shows gaining him his Stud Book number. He has also won
Best-in-Show at Breed Club Open Shows. Although now retired he still
enjoys life at home with his Mum.
Then came the Pugs, all of a sudden our life style changed to take on the
enjoyable challenge of living with a little dog that loves and lives life
to the full.
In the short time we have been showing Pugs we have enjoyed a successful
introduction to the breed by winning numerous first at Championship shows
as well as
Group wins and placing at Open Shows.
We are about to start our campaign with one of our first bred litter (Goojerat
Bridget Jones), Bridget to her friends who we have high hopes of continued
success.
